Grid Command: 3D Ground Battle — Free Online Tactical Strategy Game
Grid Command: Ground Battle - Rules
Welcome, Commander! Here's how to lead your forces to victory in this tactical ground engagement.
Objective
Destroy all enemy units deployed on the opposing grid before they eliminate your forces.
Deployment Phase
Use the "Select Unit" dropdown to choose a unit type (e.g., Tank Squad, Artillery). Each unit occupies a specific number of grid cells.
Select a "Formation" (Horizontal or Vertical) to determine how the unit group aligns from its starting point.
Click on a valid grid square within **your territory** (the grid closer to you) to place the lead element of the unit. The unit group will extend based on its size and selected formation.
The placement guide turns green if the position is valid (within bounds, no overlap) and red if invalid.
Deploy your entire arsenal, then press the "Begin Combat" button to engage the enemy.
Combat Phase
On your turn, click any grid square within the **enemy territory** (the farther grid) to launch an attack on that coordinate.
A Red Sphere indicates a successful hit on an enemy unit part.
A Brown Sphere signifies a miss, hitting empty terrain.
When all parts of an enemy unit are hit, it is destroyed, and the markers turn Dark Grey. The unit model will also appear damaged.
After your attack resolves, the AI opponent will execute its turn. Command passes back and forth until one side is eliminated.
Camera Controls
**Rotate View (Orbit):** Click and drag with the left mouse button (or one finger touch).
**Zoom In/Out:** Use the mouse scroll wheel (or pinch gesture).
**Pan View (Move Camera):** Click and drag with the right mouse button, OR hold CTRL and drag with the left mouse button (or use two-finger drag).
Battle Over!
The outcome is decided!
