After Hours — Free Social Games to Play in Your Browser

Play 12 grown-up social games in your browser with friends. Compare perspectives, share challenges, and send results back with a link.

What After Hours does

After Hours is a browser-based conversation game maker with 12 challenges about opinions, friendship, priorities, travel, work, and the future. Depending on the game, compare multiple-choice answers, rate how you see yourself, or split a budget between categories.

When to play

Use it as a conversation starter for a friend hangout, a group chat, or a casual get-together. The prompts are for playful comparison and reflection, not financial, relationship, or workplace advice.

Who this is for

Friends and social groups looking for a short, personalized way to compare opinions and perspectives. No account or app installation is required.

How to create and share a challenge

  1. Choose one of the 12 games, such as Hot Takes Court, How Do You See Me?, Vacation Compatibility, or Office Survival Test.
  2. Enter your first name or nickname. You can optionally add a recipient's name and a personal invitation.
  3. Edit 2–10 prompts and record your answers, ratings, or budget split. The game checks that required choices and totals are valid.
  4. Copy or share the challenge link, test it, or download a playable HTML file. To share a web link across devices, host the page on a public HTTPS URL.
  5. Your friend plays before your choices are revealed. They can choose to make and send a separate results link for you to open.

Inputs and controls

Set prompts, answer options, personal choices or ratings, budget amounts, your name, and optional recipient details. Choice prompts allow 2–4 options; prompts and answer fields have length limits. Some games use a rating slider or require a budget to add up to its stated total.

Outputs and saving

After play, the app shows a comparison score and the answers or ratings side by side. You can create a return link, download a playable challenge or reply HTML file, and save a story-card image. An unfinished creator draft is saved in local browser storage on that device.

Privacy and limitations

After Hours has no account or game backend. Challenge and reply data travels in the URL fragment and is encoded, not encrypted, so do not include private information. Results are not sent automatically; the player must manually share a separate return link. Drafts remain in local browser storage and are cleared if that site data is removed. Very long links may be truncated by some messaging apps; download and send the playable HTML file instead. A page opened as a local file needs to be hosted publicly over HTTPS for links to work across devices.
