Play a browser-based 3D fantasy RPG with four-hero battles, exploration, gear upgrades, story chapters and local saves.
Astera is a single-player, turn-based fantasy RPG set in handcrafted 3D dioramas. Explore seven miniature regions, follow a story across five chapters, collect elemental shards, discover optional lore, and build a four-hero party with equipment, items and talent upgrades.
Players looking for a self-contained browser adventure with exploration, story scenes and tactical turn-based combat. Choose Story for gentler battles, Classic for balanced progression or Legend for a tougher fight with richer rewards; difficulty does not lock story content.
Keyboard keys, mouse-wheel zoom, on-screen touch controls, menu choices, battle commands and journal controls. Browser storage is used to find and restore the saved chronicle.
Explore the lantern village, an overworld, four elemental regions and the palace between seconds. Fight with four heroes, develop levels and talents, manage crowns and lumina, collect shards and relics, make a story choice, reach the finale and continue exploring afterward.
The 3D game needs a modern browser with WebGL support. Performance depends on the device and graphics hardware; on a browser or device that cannot create a WebGL renderer, the diorama cannot run. Sound initializes after a user interaction and can be toggled from the header.
Progress is autosaved to this browser’s local storage, not to an account or cloud service. Saves are device- and browser-specific and may be unavailable in private browsing or removed when site data is cleared. Starting a New Chronicle replaces the existing local save. The game does not require a sign-in or a network service for its bundled game content.
No. The chronicle is stored locally in the current browser; there is no account-based or cloud save transfer.
No. Starting a new chronicle removes the existing local save. Use Continue to resume it instead.
No. Difficulty changes battle challenge and rewards, not access to the story.
The game requires working WebGL support. Browser settings, remote preview environments or older graphics hardware may not provide it; try a current browser with hardware acceleration enabled.
