3DMarbel

Design a parametric marble run in a live 3D view, tune its dimensions and supports, watch a simulated marble roll through it, and export the model.

What this tool does

3DMarbel generates a descending track from adjustable parameters. Choose a Classic Helix, Winding Serpent Wave, or Zig-Zag Spiral layout, then preview the geometry in the canvas as you change dimensions, channel settings, waves, supports, and the central column.

Who this is for

How to use this tool

  1. Choose a layout from the Layout tab
  2. Adjust radius, height, turns, U-channel dimensions, wave settings, and support options in Params
  3. Use Simulate to show the physics ball and tune its speed or radius
  4. Open Export and download an STL, GLB, or OBJ file for your next workflow

Inputs

Inputs are the layout selector and range controls for track bounds, spiral turns, channel profile, wave amplitude and frequency, vertical pillar supports, central core, marble settings, and track color. The model is generated in the browser from these values.

Outputs

The canvas shows the generated 3D track, optional support pillars and core, and an optional rolling marble preview. Export buttons create STL, GLB, or OBJ downloads; inspect the result and confirm clearances and printability in your own 3D-printing workflow.

Frequently asked questions

Are the exports ready to print?

They are geometry exports for inspection in a 3D editor or slicer. Confirm scale, clearances, wall thickness, supports, and printability before manufacturing.

Is the marble simulation physically accurate?

No. The rolling preview is illustrative and does not validate real friction, collisions, tolerances, or whether a physical marble will complete the run.

Why might the 3D view not load?

The viewer requires JavaScript, the Three.js module, and WebGL support. Older or restricted browsers may not display the scene.
