3D Text Generator

What this tool does

Type any text and this tool turns it into an extruded 3D mesh in a Three.js viewport. The optional bubbly effect rounds and inflates the lettering, while the size, depth, font, and material colour controls let you tune the result before exporting it.

How to use this tool

1. Open the Text control and enter letters, numbers, symbols, or multiple words
2. Choose Helvetica, Gentilis, Optimer, or Droid Sans from the font selector
3. Adjust size from 10–200 and extrusion depth from 1–100 mm
4. Enable Make Text Bubbly when you want rounded lettering, then tune Bubblyness from 1–20
5. Choose a material colour or a preset swatch and export the model

• Size — A 10–200 scale range for the text geometry
• Depth — A 1–100 mm extrusion range
• Bubbly effect — Optional rounded inflation with a 1–20 intensity range
• Material colour — A colour picker plus red, blue, yellow, green, dark grey, white, and grey swatches

Outputs

• OBJ — A broadly compatible geometry export for Blender, slicers, and other 3D tools
• GLB — A glTF binary export that is recommended when you want to retain the material colour for web, Unity, or AR workflows

The selector includes Helvetica Regular, Gentilis Regular, Optimer Regular, and Droid Sans Regular. Custom font file uploads are not currently part of this tool.

▶ Can I print multiple words?

Yes. Enter a sentence or phrase, then adjust the size and depth so the lettering remains practical for your intended print area.

▶ Which export should I choose?

Choose OBJ when you need a widely supported mesh file. Choose GLB when you want the exported asset to carry its material colour into a web, Unity, or AR workflow.

▶ What layer height should I use?

A 0.2 mm layer height is a practical starting point for most lettering; use a finer layer height for small details and confirm the slicer's preview before printing.
