CubeCylnRod

Assemble cubes, rods, and tubes in a live 3D scene, edit transforms and colors, lock objects, and export OBJ or GLB files.

What this tool does

CubeCylnRod is a lightweight 3D scene builder based on reusable primitives. Add cubes, rods, and tubes, select objects from the scene, change their dimensions or transforms, adjust colors, and inspect the result in the split-view canvas.

Who this is for

How to use this tool

  1. Use Add to place a cube, rod, or tube in the scene and choose a default color
  2. Select an object in the canvas or Scene list, then use Properties to move, scale, recolor, lock, or delete it
  3. Edit shape-specific dimensions where available; tube inner radius must stay below its outer radius
  4. Open Export Scene and download OBJ or GLB when the scene is ready

Inputs

Inputs include primitive buttons, color pickers, X/Y/Z position values, scale factors, lock state, and shape dimensions. Keyboard shortcuts are available for Move (T), Scale (S), and Lock Position (L) when an object is selected.

Outputs

The live canvas and Scene tab show the assembled objects. Export Scene creates OBJ or binary GLB downloads; GLB is recommended when preserving object colors matters. The tool does not provide a saved project file or a slicer-ready manufacturing check.

Frequently asked questions

Which primitives can I assemble?

Add cubes, rods, and tubes, then edit each object’s dimensions, position, scale, color, and lock state.

Are the exports ready for manufacturing?

OBJ and GLB exports are geometry drafts. The tool does not validate wall thickness, tolerances, units, watertightness, or slicer settings.

Can I save a scene and reopen it?

No project-file or autosave workflow is provided. Export OBJ or GLB for geometry, or keep the browser tab open while working.
