    GraphicsCalculator

Plot functions, pan and zoom a coordinate plane, add data points, and compare interpolation, polynomial, and cubic-spline fits.

    What this tool does

GraphicsCalculator is an interactive graphing canvas for expressions such as x^2 or sin(x). It also fits curves through points added on the graph using linear interpolation, polynomial regression, or a natural cubic spline.

    Who this is for

    How to use this tool

    1. Enter a mathematical expression in the function list, such as sin(x), and add more functions when needed
    2. Use the range controls or pan and zoom the graph to frame the area of interest
    3. Turn on Add Points Mode and click the graph to collect data points
    4. Select a fit type and calculate it once enough points are available
    5. Review the plotted curve and displayed equation; use Clear Added Points to start a new fit

    Inputs

Inputs include math.js-style function expressions, x/y minimum and maximum ranges, added graph points, and a fit type. Linear interpolation needs at least two points, cubic spline needs at least three, and a degree-N polynomial needs at least N+1 points.

    Outputs

The canvas renders functions, sampled points, added points, and the selected best-fit curve. A fit equation appears when calculated. The graph is an interactive visualization and does not export a saved dataset or chart file.

    Frequently asked questions

    Which expressions can I plot?

Enter math.js-style expressions such as x^2 or sin(x). Use the range controls and pan/zoom gestures to inspect the graph.

How many points do curve fits need?

Linear interpolation needs at least two points, cubic spline needs at least three, and a degree-N polynomial needs at least N+1 points.

Can I export the chart or data?

No saved chart or dataset export is provided. The graph is an interactive browser visualization; copy values or equations manually if needed.
