How the geometry works & references

Dimensions describe ideal round, concentric geometry. Paper marks the outside surface. Wall thickness appears in the 3D model but does not apply bevel preparation, weld gaps or inner-wall cope correction. Keep the line and remove kerf on the waste side; trim to the required fit.

Armacell application manual · Pipe template and printing reference. This independent tool generates its own geometry and is not an approved manufacturer template.

AI agent interface & project data

Agents can use labelled controls or window.pipeCraft. Every update uses the same validation and geometry as the form. All API lengths are millimetres, regardless of display units. No network, account or model is required.

Use getOutput({format:"svg"}), "csv", "json", "print-html" or "stl", part:"A". Output text is returned directly with filename and MIME type. Downloads and the print dialog require UI actions. Optional WebMCP registration is attempted only when the browser exposes it.

PipeCraft pipe and insulation cutting templates

Offline pipe template tool for insulation, miters, saddles, elbows and reducers. Preview patterns; export SVG, CSV, JSON, print HTML and eligible jig STL.

What it does

Builds geometric wraparound patterns for square and angled ends, pipe saddles, branch openings, insulation fits and V-notches, segmented elbows, and concentric reducers. A 3D preview and cut schedule update from the entered dimensions.

Who it is for and when to use it

Use it as an offline workshop layout aid when you need a dimensioned paper guide or a split marking jig for a round-pipe or insulation cut. It is not a manufacturer-approved template or a powered cutting tool.

How to use it

  1. Choose a cut type and input units, then enter the measured dimensions and project name.
  2. Review the 3D cut, paper-pattern preview, schedule, coordinates, and any warnings.
  3. Choose a paper size and jig settings where applicable. Print at 100% and verify the calibration bar before using a physical template.
  4. Save a JSON project backup or export the required pattern or jig output.

Inputs

Depending on the cut, inputs include outside diameters, wall or insulation thickness, intersection angle, cut tilt, bend angle, joint count, bend radius, retained length, rotation, units, paper size, tile overlap, and jig/printer clearances.

Outputs

PipeCraft provides interactive previews, a cut schedule and coordinates, a tiled full-size print layout with registration marks and a 100 mm scale bar, SVG, CSV, JSON project data, and STL for eligible split marking jigs. The reducer generates a paper net only. STL geometry is unitless and should be imported as millimetres. The agent API returns text and MIME type; printing and browser downloads still require a user-facing action.

Example use cases

Accuracy and limitations

Calculations use ideal round, concentric geometry. The patterns do not include bevel preparation, weld gaps, inner-wall cope correction, seam allowances for reducers, or material springback. Keep the cut line on the waste side and check the physical fit. Geometry and project data stay in this browser; the analytics tag may send page-view data to Google when online.

Agent interface

The documented window.pipeCraft interface exposes getState, validated update, getOutput, importProject, and its manifest. Geometry inputs and API results use millimetres even when the form displays inches. Check the manifest for supported settings and formats; output text is returned directly rather than silently downloading files.
