SortPod Home — 3D Recycling Bin Prototype

Explore a compact home recycling-bin concept that routes sample items through a rotating chute and tracks compartment drops.

What this tool does

SortPod Home is an offline 3D prototype viewer and concept simulator. It presents a single-opening household recycling unit with a rotating funnel, removable compartments, a visible item counter, a cutaway view and editable prototype cost details.

Who this is for

How to use this tool

  1. Use Demo to queue the built-in sample sequence, or choose a material such as plastics, cans or paper
  2. Orbit the model and use the Overview, Top, Funnel or Counter views
  3. Toggle Cutaway or Explode to inspect the internal concept
  4. Open the cost or hardware panels to review editable assumptions
  5. Use the tour for a guided walkthrough, and export or save only when you need a local project copy

Inputs

The prototype accepts sample material selections, demo/pause/reset controls, camera view changes, cutaway and explode toggles, editable component quantities and costs, and local project import/export controls.

Outputs

The app renders a 3D household bin concept, shows the queued item and confirmed compartment-drop counters, and exposes prototype build-cost estimates. It is an offline concept model, not a connected recycling appliance or validated engineering design.
