WebXR AR/VR Object Placer

Place simple 3D objects on real-world surfaces in AR, or explore the same scene in an immersive VR environment.

What this tool does

This A-Frame WebXR demo lets you choose a box, sphere, or cylinder and place it into an AR scene using hit testing. A reticle indicates a detected surface, while the VR mode provides a lit ground-plane scene for immersive inspection.

Frequently asked questions

What device do I need?

You need a modern browser and a device or headset that supports the WebXR mode you want to use. AR also needs camera access and surface hit testing.

Why is the reticle not appearing?

Move the device slowly across a textured, well-lit surface and allow the AR hit test to detect it. The reticle only becomes usable after a surface is found.

Can I export the placed objects?

No export control is included in this demo. It is focused on the WebXR placement interaction.
