Field Survey Pro is a browser-based GPS logger for collecting points during a site walk. It records coordinates and optional asset type, condition, and notes, then presents the data on a Leaflet map, a 3D coordinate view, an elevation profile, and a recent-points list.
Inputs are browser geolocation coordinates, optional device motion data, and point annotations. The point form supports General, Corner/Boundary, Tree/Vegetation, Utility/Hydrant, Structure/Building, and Hazard types; conditions include Good, Damaged, Blocked Access, and Needs Repair.
The dashboard reports location and motion telemetry, while the map shows markers and a connected point path. With at least three points, the app estimates polygon area and perimeter; it also shows elevation-related charts and can export the point list as JSON.
Yes. Live tracking depends on browser geolocation, a GPS-capable device, and a secure context such as HTTPS. The app cannot collect live coordinates when permission or geolocation support is unavailable.
The app uses the entered point order as a polygon and reports estimates after at least three points. It is not a cadastral, GIS, or survey-grade measurement system.
The page keeps points in browser local storage and offers manual JSON export/import. It does not provide a shared cloud project or a server-side survey database.
