What this tool does

This browser-based 2D design canvas combines freehand drawing with selectable lines, rectangles, circles, junction boxes, and circular housings. You can edit selected shape properties, change color and stroke size, show rulers, and export the canvas as an image or SVG.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose the selector, brush, eraser, fill, line, rectangle, circle, junction-box, or circular-housing tool.
  2. Draw on the canvas, then select shapes to move, resize, or edit their numeric properties.
  3. Set color, stroke size, fill behavior, ruler visibility, and pixels-per-millimeter as needed.
  4. Use undo, redo, or Clear Canvas while iterating.
  5. Export the finished canvas as PNG, JPEG, or SVG.

Inputs

Inputs are pointer or touch strokes, shape selections, color and size settings, fill choice, numeric position and dimension fields, ruler visibility, and the pixels-per-millimeter value. The page does not import a reference drawing or provide parametric CAD constraints.

Outputs

The canvas shows the current 2D drawing with optional rulers and cursor coordinates. Export controls create PNG, JPEG, or SVG files; the design remains a browser canvas rather than a 3D model or manufacturing-ready CAD drawing.

Can I export my drawing?

Yes. The Actions & Export section provides PNG, JPEG, and SVG export controls.

What shapes can I draw?

You can draw lines, rectangles, circles, junction boxes, and circular housings, along with freehand brush strokes.

Can I edit a shape after drawing it?

Yes. Select a shape to move or resize it, then edit its position, dimensions, radius, color, or fill settings in the properties and toolbar controls.

Does this create a CAD or 3D file?

No. It is a 2D canvas with drawing and shape tools. It does not create 3D solids, parametric constraints, or manufacturing-ready CAD files.

What does pixels per millimeter do?

When rulers are visible, the setting converts canvas pixels into an approximate millimeter readout. It does not calibrate an external measurement device.
