New York Business Explorer

Review 200 New York-area businesses from an October 2026 Google Places snapshot; filter listings, save notes locally, and export CSV or JSON.

What this tool does

Browse a fixed snapshot of 200 New York-area business listings. Search and filter company details, compare Google Places ratings and review counts, and keep your own evaluation notes.

When to use it

Use it for initial local-business research, prospect discovery, and organizing listings for manual follow-up. It is a research aid, not a live directory, customer-management system, or outreach service.

Who it is for

Small-business owners, marketers, researchers, and sales or procurement teams reviewing New York-area businesses.

How to use it

  1. Search by company, category, neighborhood, address, phone, email, or website.
  2. Use the group, website, category, neighborhood, rating, review-count, and evaluation filters to narrow the list. Choose a sort order and open a listing to view available details and links.
  3. Mark a business as shortlisted, contacted, or passed, and add a note. Export the visible, filtered results as CSV or export all 200 businesses and evaluations as JSON.
  4. Import evaluations and notes from a compatible Business Explorer JSON export. Notes are matched to businesses by place ID.

Inputs

Search text, filter and sort selections, a status for each business (not reviewed, shortlisted, contacted, or passed), and an optional note of up to 20,000 characters per listing. Imports must use this tool’s Business Explorer JSON format.

Outputs

A searchable listing with available category, neighborhood, address, contact, website, rating, review, and source details; links to business websites and Google Maps where available; filtered-results CSV; or full-data-and-evaluations JSON.

Example use cases

Data and limitations

This is a static Google Places export from October 2026, not a live lookup. Businesses, contact details, ratings, and reviews may have changed or may be incomplete; verify information directly before relying on it. Filters, evaluations, and notes are stored in this browser’s local storage. There is no cloud sync, CRM connection, or automatic outreach. Export JSON to back up or transfer your evaluations.
