What this tool does

ShopTeamOrg is a browser-based production board for machine shops. Create work orders, assign machinists or operators, track jobs from quote and design through machining, inspection, shipping, or rework, and keep recurring maintenance or order tasks visible.

How to use this tool

1. Add machinists or operators and optionally rate their profiles
2. Create a job with the part or work-order name, specifications, assignee, completion date, priority, and next review date
3. Add recurring calibration, sharpening, maintenance, or order tasks
4. Move jobs through Quote / Design, Ready for Production, Machining, Inspection, Ready / Shipped, and Rework / Hold
5. Export production data as JSON or import a compatible backup

Inputs

Inputs include machinist names, job or part names, specifications, assigned operator, target completion date, priority, next-step date, recurring task description, frequency, day, and time. JSON files can be selected for import.

Outputs

The workspace displays machinists, recurring tasks, and job cards by production stage. Export Production Data downloads the current shop data as JSON for backup or transfer.

Limitations

This is a lightweight planning board, not a manufacturing execution system. It does not replace machine controls, quality records, inventory, purchasing, quoting, time tracking, or formal production traceability. Verify exported backups before relying on them.
