VRTrainSalon

Practice a basic cut-and-style workflow in an interactive salon scene with desktop, VR, and AR controls.

What this tool does

VRTrainSalon presents a six-step stylist scenario: sanitize hands, check the consultation card, drape the client, wet the hair, perform the cut, and blow-dry and finish. The scene uses interactive tools and task feedback to guide the sequence.

Who this is for

How to use this tool

  1. Use WASD and click interaction on desktop, or enter an available VR/AR mode
  2. Follow the six tasks shown in the task list
  3. Use the spray, scissors, dryer, and other scene objects at the indicated step
  4. Optionally import a GLB, GLTF, OBJ, PNG, or JPG prop and complete the final styling step

Inputs

Inputs include desktop or XR controller actions and an optional local asset import. The import control accepts GLB, GLTF, OBJ, PNG, and JPG files for a custom prop.

Outputs

The output is an interactive salon scene with step indicators, console feedback, visual changes to the hair, and a training-complete state after all six actions are recognized.

Example use cases

Limitations

This is a simplified interactive training prototype, not a substitute for supervised cosmetology instruction, salon policies, hygiene standards, or hands-on assessment. WebXR features depend on browser and device support.

Frequently asked questions

What steps does the salon scenario cover?

It covers hand sanitation, consultation review, client draping, wetting hair, cutting, and blow-drying and finishing.
