GLB to OBJ/STL Converter

Preview a local GLB model in the browser and export its geometry as OBJ or ASCII STL.

What this tool does

This converter loads one .glb file into a Three.js viewer and enables geometry export after a successful parse. Orbit the model with mouse or touch controls, then download an OBJ or ASCII STL version using the buttons below the viewer.

Who this is for

How to use this tool

  1. Choose a local file ending in .glb.
  2. Wait for the model to render and for the export buttons to become enabled.
  3. Orbit or zoom the preview to inspect the loaded scene.
  4. Choose Export as .OBJ or Export as .STL to download the converted geometry.

Inputs

The input is one local GLB file. The viewer uses Three.js modules and WebGL in the browser; no scale, repair, batch, material, texture, animation, or output-option controls are provided.

Outputs

The page displays the loaded model and produces an OBJ download or an ASCII STL download using the source basename. These are geometry exports rather than guaranteed full-fidelity scene conversions.

Frequently asked questions

Can I load an OBJ or STL file?

No. The file picker is limited to GLB input. Use the exported OBJ or STL in another compatible viewer or editor.

Will materials, textures, and animations be preserved?

Do not assume full scene preservation. OBJ and STL exports are geometry-focused; STL is ASCII and cannot carry the source scene’s materials, textures, animations, or metadata.

Can I repair or scale the model here?

No. This page previews and converts one GLB; it does not include mesh repair, scaling controls, batch conversion, or CAD editing.
