Create and inspect parametric 3D gear models in a browser-based editor with direct export options.
Mechgear generates 3D gear geometry and displays it in an interactive Three.js viewport. You can create a gear, select it, adjust its parameters, transform it, and export the model for use in another 3D workflow.
Inputs include gear geometry values such as number of teeth, diametral pitch, face width, bore diameter, tooth taper, and color. The editor also accepts viewport selection and transform interactions.
The output is an interactive 3D gear model that can be viewed, selected, transformed, and exported as GLB, STL, or OBJ for downstream inspection or editing.
This is a browser-based geometry generator, not a mechanical engineering validation tool. Exported gears should be checked in CAD and tested for fit, strength, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements before use in hardware.
You can adjust tooth count, diametral pitch, face width, bore diameter, tooth taper, and color, then inspect the updated geometry in the viewport.
The editor provides GLB, STL, and OBJ export options. Confirm the selected object or scene and review the downloaded geometry in your target software.
Treat the result as a starting model. Validate dimensions, clearances, material, strength, and manufacturing tolerances in an appropriate CAD or engineering workflow first.
